OAM-I delivers Certificate II in Security Operations (National Course Code PRS20103) in Indonesia through an agreement with West Coast TAFE in Western Australia and in accordance with the Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF).

West Coast TAFE.

West Coast TAFE is an Independent Statutory Authority created under the Vocational Education and Training Act (1996) of Western Australia.  West Coast TAFE is directed by a Governing Council whose Chairman reports to the Minister of Education and Training under the Act.  TAFE is the acronym for Technical and Further Education and a Western Australian State Government agency

Overall, the College offers courses in security operations and investigations, hospitality, retail, nursing, aged care, education, child care, community work, disability and allied therapy, sport and recreation, information technology, multimedia, tourism, occupational safety and health, beauty therapy, business, marketing and management.  West Coast TAFE also operates a wide range of community education courses.  In total, West Coast TAFE provides training to over 15,000 students each year.

Australian Quality Training Framework

The Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) is a nationally agreed quality framework for the Australian vocational education and training (VET) system.  All training organisations must be registered to issue Australian Qualification Framework (AQF) qualifications as a Registered Training Organisation (RTO).

Competency-based Assessment

All programs delivered by West Coast TAFE are nationally accredited and apply the competency-based assessment methodology.  Competency based assessment is the process of collecting evidence and making judgements on whether competence has been achieved.  This confirms that an individual can perform to the standard expected in the workplace as expressed in the relevant endorsed industry competency standards.

 

The Certificate II in Security Operations (National Course Code PRS20103) program is conducted through auspicing, with the training delivered by OAM trainers and West Coast TAFE quality assuring the training and assessment.  Students who successfully complete the course are awarded the Certificate II in Security Operations issued by West Coast TAFE under its mandate as an RTO.

The Certificate II in Security Operations is a nationally accredited course delivered in accordance with the Australian Asset Security Training Package PRS03.  The Certificate II in Security Operations is a mandatory qualification for registration as a security guard/crowd controller in Western Australia, and consists of 7 core units and 4 elective units. For delivery in Indonesia, the course has been modified to take into consideration Indonesian law and Indonesian cultural differences and is delivered bi-lingual over 10 working days. The course is balanced as 50% theory and 50% practical.
